Who is Jamie Lopez?
I started in the building industry 9 years ago after a long term career in finance. I was always fascinated by the building plans my clients sent me for their finance approvals and being quite a creative person I thought it would be an enjoyable job to do. I also had an eye for spotting potential issues in plans and on more than one occasion delayed my own business by suggesting that the clients go back to their builder and rework a part of their home to suit their needs better.
Along came the GFC in 2010 and the finance game was a tough gig to be in. I was looking for something new to do away from the finance scene and the first thing that came to mind was home design. I decided to investigate further and so began my career in the home building industry.
Fast forward 9 years and I have helped hundreds of clients design their perfect home and have loved every minute of it! In particular I have developed an interest and expertise in strata and narrow lot designs. The challenges that these homes present in confined and often completely unique spaces is something that appeals to my creative mind and I love the challenge of having to make everything in a home work on such blocks and how to make them work well.
I have developed a bank of great designs and built fantastic industry contacts over my career and am uniquely positioned to bring those along with my knowledge and experience to assist you.
